PhD in sociology (with hons), research and analysis specialist, Warsaw University of Technology: Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management.
I studied sociology and cultural studies (with hons) at University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland. My scientific interests involve urban sociology, urban revitalization, reinterpretation of the meanings, processes of social adaptation of innovation, and academic entrepreneurship.
Main idea of my phd thesis on social reception of city marketing is how building a city image can possibly distort the city’s history, heritage, and culture. My MA thesis analysing the process of creating a new city brand won the Ministry of Regional Development Award in Teraz Polska Promocja 2011 contest. I received The Rector of the University of Silesia Award for students and post-graduates (2012).
